Plumbing Services in Dakabin and Across Moreton Bay
Big Blue Plumbing covers Dakabin and the wider Moreton Bay region with general plumbing, emergency response, drainage work, hot water repairs, and licensed gas fitting. We're dispatched from local bases across South East Queensland, which means urgent jobs in Dakabin can often be allocated quickly depending on current bookings and traffic conditions. The service includes 24/7 emergency availability; if a drainage blockage, ruptured pipe, or gas leak happens outside business hours, the nearest available technician is sent out and an ETA is provided when you book.
Dakabin sits within an established residential corridor with a mix of housing eras, from older weatherboard and brick homes through to more recent estate builds near the rail line. Pipe materials and hot water setups can vary depending on when the property was built, so the first visit includes an assessment of the existing system, access points, and the scope of work required. Once that's confirmed, a fixed-price quote is provided before any repair or installation proceeds.
We price work by the job, not by the hour, and there are no hidden fees added after the quote is accepted. If the inspection reveals additional issues (such as corroded pipework behind a leaking tap or tree roots in a blocked drain line), the options are explained and a revised quote is provided so you can decide whether to proceed with the additional work. The aim is to give you enough information to make an informed decision without pressure.
Common Plumbing Issues in Dakabin Homes
Residential plumbing faults in Dakabin often involve blocked drains, leaking fixtures, failing hot water systems, and occasional gas appliance issues. Drain blockages in older properties can be linked to tree root intrusion where mature eucalypts or figs are planted near sewer lines. Roots seek out moisture and can enter pipes through small cracks or join points, gradually restricting flow until wastewater backs up inside the home or in external gully traps.
Leaking taps and showerheads are usually caused by worn washers or corroded valve seats. Left unattended, a dripping tap can waste hundreds of litres over a few weeks and sometimes indicates higher water pressure issues that also stress other fixtures. Hot water systems installed in the early 2000s are now reaching end-of-life, and failures often show up as fluctuating temperature, rusty water from a corroding tank, or no hot water at all when an element or thermostat fails.
When you book a plumber, the first visit involves identifying the affected area, checking access to pipework or the hot water unit, and confirming what's causing the fault. If it's a straightforward washer replacement or a blockage in an accessible section of drain, the work can often be completed on the spot. If the issue requires parts (such as a replacement pressure relief valve or a new hot water supply element), the plumber explains what's needed, provides a fixed quote, and schedules a return visit once parts are available.
We bring standard tools and diagnostic tools to the first visit, including a CCTV drain camera for blocked lines and pressure testing gear for gas systems. That allows us to explain what we've found in plain English and show you footage or test results if it helps clarify the fault. The goal is transparency: you understand what's wrong, what the fix involves, and what it will cost before any work begins.
How Emergency Plumbing Works in Dakabin
Emergency plumbing covers situations where there's an immediate risk to property or safety: active water leaks, ruptured pipes, sewage backups, or confirmed gas leaks. When you call for an emergency job in Dakabin, the booking is prioritised and the nearest available plumber is dispatched from the current location. An ETA is provided at the time of booking, though arrival can be affected by distance, traffic conditions, and whether another urgent job is already underway.
The first priority on arrival is to make the situation safe. For a ruptured pipe, that usually means isolating the water supply at the meter or an upstream valve to stop further flooding. For a gas leak, it means turning off the gas supply at the meter, ventilating the area, and advising that no ignition sources (cigarettes, switches, pilot lights) should be used until the system is confirmed safe. If sewage is backing up into the home, the immediate goal is to stop further contamination and identify whether the blockage is in the property's private drain or further downstream in the council main.
Once the immediate risk is contained, the plumber assesses what's needed to complete a permanent repair. If parts are required or if the fault involves structural pipework that can't be accessed immediately (such as a collapsed drain under a concrete driveway), a temporary fix is put in place and a follow-up visit is scheduled. You're given a clear explanation of what happens next, what the temporary measure achieves, and when the final repair can be completed. The fixed-price quote is provided before the permanent work proceeds, so there are no surprises when the invoice arrives.
Our 24/7 availability means emergency calls are answered at any hour, including public holidays. The same fixed-price model applies: you're told the cost once the scope is confirmed onsite, and the price doesn't change based on time of day. That's covered by our workmanship warranty, which protects the repair itself (not pre-existing wear or faults in other parts of the system). If an issue with the repair shows up after we leave, it's addressed under that warranty at no additional charge.
Blocked Drains: Causes and Clearing Methods
When a drain blocks in Dakabin, the usual symptoms are slow drainage from sinks or showers, gurgling sounds when water is running, or sewage backflowing through floor drains or gully traps outside. Blockages in kitchen drains are often caused by fat, oil, and grease (FOG) that hardens as it cools, trapping food scraps and soap residue until the pipe is fully obstructed. In bathroom drains, hair and soap scum gradually build up on the pipe walls, narrowing the diameter until water can't pass through.
External sewer blockages in older Dakabin homes are frequently caused by tree roots. The roots grow into microscopic cracks in aging clay or terracotta pipes, expanding over time and creating a mat that catches toilet paper and solid waste. If the blockage is left too long, pressure can build up behind the obstruction and cause the pipe to crack or collapse, turning a clearing job into a relining or excavation project.
We use a CCTV drain camera to inspect the line before unblocking begins. The camera is fed into the drain from an access point (usually a boundary trap or an inspection opening) and the footage shows the location, depth, and cause of the blockage. That allows us to select the right clearing method: high-pressure water jetting for root intrusions and grease buildup, or a mechanical clearing tool (sometimes called an electric eel) for solid foreign objects like toys or sanitary products that have been flushed.
Once the blockage is cleared, we re-run the camera to confirm flow is restored and check for any structural damage to the pipe. If the footage shows cracks, joint displacement, or root damage, we explain the options: monitor it and clear as needed, reline the affected section to create a new pipe within the old one, or excavate and replace if the damage is severe. The choice depends on your budget, how often the line blocks, and whether you want a long-term fix or a lower-cost interim solution. We provide a fixed quote for each option so you can decide what makes sense for your situation.
Hot Water System Repairs and Replacements
Hot water systems in Dakabin include electric storage tanks, continuous flow gas units, and occasional solar or heat pump setups. Electric storage systems are common in homes built from the 1980s onward and typically last 8 to 12 years before the tank corrodes or the element fails. Gas continuous flow units are more common in newer builds and are preferred for their energy efficiency and space-saving design, though they require annual servicing to keep the heat exchanger and burner clean.
When a hot water service system fails, the symptoms depend on the type of unit and the fault. No hot water service at all usually indicates a failed heating element (electric), a faulty thermostat, or a loss of gas supply (gas units). Rusty or discoloured water coming from the taps suggests the sacrificial anode inside an electric tank has corroded away, allowing the tank lining to rust. Fluctuating temperature or reduced flow from a gas unit can indicate scale buildup in the heat exchanger or a failing flow sensor.
The first visit involves inspecting the unit, checking the power supply or gas connection, and testing the safety devices (pressure relief valve and tempering valve). If the fault is a replaceable component like an element, thermostat, or anode, we provide a fixed quote for the repair and can usually complete the work on the same visit if the part is in stock. If the tank has corroded or the heat exchanger is scaled beyond cleaning, replacement is the only option and we explain what's involved: removing the old unit, installing the new one to Australian plumbing standards (AS/NZS 3500), fitting a tempering valve to prevent scalding, and testing the system before leaving.
We only use quality products for hot water installations, and the installation is covered by our workmanship warranty. Manufacturer warranties on the tank or heat exchanger are separate and are passed on to you with the documentation. If the new unit fails due to a manufacturing fault during the warranty period, the manufacturer covers the replacement parts and we handle the labour under the terms set out at the time of installation. If you're not sure whether to repair an aging unit or replace it, we explain the likely lifespan of a repair versus the cost and efficiency of a new system so you can weigh up the options.
Why Fixed-Price Quoting Reduces Price Anxiety
Pricing by the job rather than by the hour removes uncertainty about what the final bill will be. Once the scope is verified and the fixed quote is accepted, that's the price you pay, no extra charges for how long the work takes or how many trips are needed to complete it (provided the scope hasn't changed). If the job takes longer than expected because of access issues or unforeseen complications within the agreed scope, the price stays the same.
The quote is provided after the assessment visit, not before, because plumbing faults can't always be accurately scoped over the phone. A "leaking tap" might be a simple washer replacement, or it could involve a corroded valve body that requires the entire tap assembly to be replaced. A "drain blockage" might clear in ten minutes with a plunger, or it might need CCTV inspection, high-pressure jetting, and follow-up relining if roots have damaged the pipe. The fixed quote reflects what's actually required based on what we find on site.
If the initial inspection reveals additional work (such as replacing corroded pipework behind a leaking fixture or clearing a second blockage further down the line), that's explained separately and a revised quote is provided before the extra work proceeds. You're never committed to additional costs without being told what they are and why they're needed. That approach is designed to reduce the stress of not knowing what you'll be charged, which is a common concern when booking any tradesperson.
We also offer a 0% interest payment plan through Brighte, with a stated approval process that typically takes 5 to 7 minutes. That's useful for larger jobs like hot water replacements or drainage relining where the upfront cost might be a barrier to getting the work done. Seniors with a valid senior card are eligible for a discount, and there are no hidden fees added to the quoted price. If you're not sure whether the work is urgent or can wait, a quick call to our team can clarify the risk and help you decide whether to book immediately or schedule it for a more convenient time.
Licensed Gas Fitting for Safety and Compliance
Big Blue Plumbing holds the required gas fitting licences to install, repair, and maintain gas appliances and pipework in Dakabin. Gas work must only be carried out by a duly licensed gas fitter due to the serious risks involved: gas leaks can cause explosions, fires, or carbon monoxide poisoning if faults are not identified and corrected properly.
If you smell gas (a distinctive rotten egg odour caused by an added odorant called mercaptan), treat it as urgent. Do not operate electrical switches, light cigarettes, or use any ignition sources. Open windows and doors to ventilate the area, turn off the gas supply at the meter if it's safe to do so, and call a licensed gas fitter immediately. When you book an emergency gas job, the plumber is dispatched as a priority and arrival timing is confirmed when you call.
On arrival, the gas fitter isolates the supply, uses a combustible gas detector to locate the source of the leak, and inspects the pipework and appliance connections. Once the fault is found (common causes include corroded pipe joints, damaged flexible hoses, or faulty appliance regulators), the repair is explained and a fixed quote is provided. After the repair is completed, the system is pressure-tested to confirm it's gas-tight, and a compliance certificate is issued where required by the local authority. You should not use the gas system again until it has been tested and confirmed safe.
We also handle non-emergency gas work: connecting new cooktops or ovens, installing gas points for outdoor barbecues or patio heaters, and servicing existing gas appliances. Gas appliances should be serviced annually to keep burners clean, check for carbon monoxide leaks, and confirm that safety devices like flame failure sensors are working correctly. If a gas appliance is not operating efficiently (yellow flames instead of blue, soot buildup on burners, or the appliance shutting off unexpectedly), it should be inspected by a properly licensed gas fitter before continued use.
Trust and Safety: Police Checks and Professional Conduct
All Big Blue Plumbing technicians undergo police checks and background checks as part of the vetting process. That's particularly important for residential work where the plumber is entering occupied homes and working in private areas like bathrooms, laundries, and under-floor spaces. Technicians arrive in uniform and can identify themselves on arrival, and we accommodate safety-sensitive requests if you need additional reassurance before allowing entry.
Inside the home, we use drop sheets or protective coverings to protect floors and surfaces in the work area. Boot covers or clean protective sleeves are worn when moving through finished spaces, and the work area is kept as tidy as practical while the job is underway. If the work generates dust, debris, or water (such as cutting into a wall to access pipework or clearing a clogged drain), we isolate the area where practical and clean up thoroughly before leaving. Rubbish generated by the work is removed from the property, not left for the homeowner to dispose of.
We take reasonable care around finished surfaces such as stone benchtops, tiled bathrooms, and timber floors. If accessing pipework requires cutting into a wall or ceiling, the extent of the cut is explained beforehand and kept to the minimum necessary to complete the repair. Patching and painting are not included in plumbing work, but we leave the area ready for a painter or handyman to finish if that's required. The goal is to fix the plumbing fault with as little disruption and mess as practical, then leave the property in a respectful condition.
Our team explains what's being done before starting work and confirms access permissions at the door. If you're not home and the work involves internal access, we coordinate with property managers, strata representatives, or tenants to ensure entry is arranged and documented. For rental properties, we provide receipts and invoices suitable for submission to landlords or agents, along with documentation of the work completed and any tests performed (such as a compliance certificate for gas work or a CCTV report for drainage inspections).
General Plumbing: Taps, Toilets, Sinks, and Fixtures
General plumbing work in Dakabin covers the installation, repair, and replacement of household fixtures: taps, toilets, sinks, showers, laundry connections, and outdoor taps. Faults in these fixtures are usually caused by worn components (washers, O-rings, valve cartridges), corrosion from age and water quality, or faulty installation during renovations.
A dripping tap is often caused by a worn washer or a corroded valve seat inside the tap body. If left unrepaired, the constant drip wastes water and can increase your water bill noticeably over a few months. The tap also tends to get worse over time as the worn component allows more water through. Replacing the washer or re-seating the valve usually fixes the issue, though older taps with badly corroded bodies may need full replacement if the valve seat can't be re-ground.
Toilets that keep running after flushing usually have a faulty cistern valve or flapper that isn't sealing properly. That allows water to continuously trickle from the cistern into the bowl, wasting water and sometimes causing the cistern to refill every few minutes (which you'll hear as a brief hissing sound). Replacing the faulty component restores the seal and stops the water loss. If the toilet is leaking at the base where it meets the floor, the wax seal or rubber gasket has failed and the toilet needs to be lifted, resealed, and re-fitted to prevent water (and potentially sewage) from leaking onto the floor.
We also install new fixtures during renovations or when upgrading aging fittings. That includes wall-mounted or freestanding vanities, kitchen sinks and mixer taps, laundry tubs, and outdoor garden taps. Installation work is completed to Australian plumbing standards and includes connecting water supply lines, waste pipes, and testing for leaks before finishing. If you're planning a renovation, it's worth involving a plumber early to confirm that existing pipework is in the right location and condition to support the new fixtures. If pipework needs to be relocated or upgraded, that's scoped and quoted separately before demolition begins.
Leak Detection and Repair
Leaks can occur anywhere in a plumbing system: at fixture connections, in concealed pipework behind walls or under floors, or in underground water mains and sewer lines. Small leaks often go unnoticed until they cause visible damage (water stains on ceilings, damp patches on walls, or soft spots in flooring) or until an unusually high water bill prompts an investigation.
When you suspect a leak but can't locate the source, we use leak location equipment to narrow down the search. For internal leaks, that might involve a thermal imaging camera to detect temperature differences behind walls, or acoustic listening devices to pick up the sound of water escaping under pressure. For underground leaks in water mains, a combination of pressure testing and tracer gas can pinpoint the leak location without excavating the entire line.
Once the leak is located, the repair method depends on the pipe material, location, and severity of the fault. A leaking compression fitting at a tap connection can often be re-tightened or re-sealed with new fittings. A pinhole leak in copper pipe caused by corrosion may be repairable by cutting out the affected section and installing a new section with compression or soldered joints. A leak in underground PVC pipe caused by ground movement or tree root pressure may require excavation and replacement of the damaged section, or trenchless relining if the pipe is accessible and structurally sound enough to support a liner.
After the repair is completed, the system is pressure-tested to confirm the leak is fixed and no new leaks have developed from changes in system pressure. If the leak has caused water damage to ceilings, walls, or floors, that's usually outside the scope of plumbing work and needs to be handled by a builder, plasterer, or painter. We can provide documentation of the plumbing fault and repair for insurance purposes if the damage claim requires it.
Plumbing Maintenance to Avoid Bigger Problems
Regular plumbing maintenance reduces the likelihood of emergency failures by identifying wear and minor faults before they escalate. In residential properties, maintenance typically includes inspecting hot water systems, checking for leaks at fixture connections, testing the pressure relief valve on hot water tanks, and clearing debris from gully traps and stormwater drains.
Hot water system maintenance involves inspecting the tank or heat exchanger for corrosion, checking the anode rod (in electric storage tanks) to see if it needs replacement, testing the tempering valve to confirm it's limiting water temperature to a safe level, and flushing sediment from the tank. Sediment buildup insulates the heating element and reduces efficiency, and if left too long it can cause the element to overheat and fail. Replacing a worn anode rod before the tank starts rusting extends the life of the unit and avoids premature replacement.
For drainage systems, a camera inspection can identify early signs of root intrusion, pipe joint displacement, or cracks before they cause a full blockage. If roots are detected early, they can be cleared with high-pressure jetting before they expand and damage the pipe structure. If the pipe has minor cracks but is still structurally sound, monitoring and periodic clearing may be enough to extend its life without relining or excavation.
We also offer safety inspections for rental properties, strata complexes, and commercial buildings. That includes checking that backflow prevention devices are installed and functioning (to prevent contaminated water from flowing back into the mains supply), testing thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs) on hot water systems in aged care or childcare facilities to confirm they're preventing scalding, and verifying that gas appliances are operating safely and efficiently. Compliance documentation is provided where required for property management records or local authority requirements.
Commercial and Strata Plumbing in Dakabin
Commercial and strata plumbing work in Dakabin includes servicing shops, offices, apartment complexes, and industrial properties. The work often involves larger-scale systems, coordinated access with building managers, and documentation for compliance and maintenance logs.
For strata properties, common jobs include clearing blocked drains in common property areas, repairing leaking taps or toilets in shared amenities, and maintaining hot water systems that serve multiple units. Strata work requires clear communication about responsibility boundaries: whether the fault is in common property or within a lot owner's private plumbing. If the blockage is in a shared sewer line, it's a common property issue. If it's in the waste pipe within a unit, it's the lot owner's responsibility. We can explain the boundary in plain terms and provide documentation suitable for strata committee or property manager records.
Commercial work includes installing and servicing grease traps for cafes and restaurants (grease traps capture fat, oil, and grease before it enters the sewer and must be cleaned regularly to remain effective), backflow testing for businesses connected to the mains water supply (backflow prevention devices stop contaminated water from being drawn back into the public supply and must be tested annually), and TMV testing for facilities like childcare centres and aged care homes where water temperature must be controlled to prevent scalding.
We can work to site requirements such as inductions, sign-in procedures, and restricted access hours where needed. If the work requires isolating water or gas to part of a building, we coordinate timing to minimise disruption to occupants and provide clear notice of the shutdown period. Job documentation includes receipts, compliance certificates where required, and a description of work completed suitable for maintenance logs and audit purposes.
Industrial Plumbing Services
Industrial plumbing covers larger and more complex installations: high-pressure water systems, irrigation for landscaping or agricultural properties, water harvesting and treatment systems, and routine cleaning of commercial drains and grease traps.
High-pressure hose installations are used in commercial car washes, food processing facilities, and manufacturing sites where equipment needs to be cleaned regularly. The installation includes selecting hose and fittings rated for the required pressure, installing a pressure regulator and safety valve, and testing the system before commissioning. If an existing high-pressure system develops leaks or pressure loss, we inspect the hose, fittings, and pump to identify the fault and provide a fixed quote for repairs.
Water harvesting systems capture rainwater or stormwater for non-potable uses like irrigation, toilet flushing, or industrial processes. The system typically includes a storage tank, filtration to remove debris and sediment, a pump to deliver the water at the required pressure, and a backup connection to the mains supply in case the tank runs dry. Installation must comply with local water authority requirements, and backflow prevention is essential to ensure harvested water cannot contaminate the mains supply.
Routine maintenance for industrial properties includes scheduled drain clearing, grease trap servicing, and CCTV inspections of underground drainage to identify blockages or damage before they cause operational downtime. We can provide a maintenance schedule tailored to the site's usage patterns and document completed work for compliance and asset management purposes.
Real Estate and Property Management Services
Big Blue Plumbing works with property managers, real estate agents, and landlords to handle plumbing issues in rental properties across Dakabin and the Moreton Bay region. When a tenant reports a plumbing fault, quick response and clear documentation are essential to minimise tenant disruption and keep the property compliant with tenancy obligations.
We handle emergency jobs for burst pipes, blocked drains, and hot water service failures, as well as routine maintenance and pre-tenancy inspections. For emergency work, the tenant or agent books the job and we dispatch a plumber as soon as practical, with an ETA provided at the time of booking. If the fault poses a safety risk (such as a gas leak or sewage backup), the job is prioritised and the tenant is advised on immediate safety steps while the plumber is on the way.
After the work is completed, we provide an itemised invoice suitable for submission to the landlord or agent, along with documentation of the fault and the repair carried out. If the issue was caused by tenant misuse (such as flushing inappropriate items down the toilet or damaging a fixture), that's noted in the report so the agent can determine who is responsible for the cost. If the fault was due to wear or an underlying defect in the plumbing system, that's also documented to support the landlord's decision on whether further work is needed.
We can coordinate access with tenants, agents, or strata managers as needed, and follow entry protocols to ensure work is carried out lawfully and respectfully. For vacant properties, we can attend during agent inspection times or arrange key access through the property management office. Our team is experienced in rental property work and understands the documentation and communication requirements that make the process straightforward for agents and landlords.
Renovation Plumbing: Kitchens, Bathrooms, and Laundries
Plumbing work during renovations includes relocating fixtures, upgrading pipework, installing new appliances, and ensuring all work complies with current plumbing standards. Early involvement in the planning phase helps avoid costly changes later: we can confirm whether existing water and waste connections are in the right location for the new layout, assess whether pipework needs upgrading, and identify any compliance issues that need addressing before construction begins.
For kitchen renovations, common plumbing tasks include relocating the sink and dishwasher connections if the kitchen layout is changing, installing a new mixer tap and water filter tap, and upgrading waste pipes to handle a garbage disposal unit or a larger sink bowl. If the renovation involves moving the kitchen to a different part of the house, new hot and cold water lines need to be run from the main supply, and a new waste connection needs to be established to the sewer line. That work is scoped and quoted early so it can be coordinated with the builder and cabinetmaker.
Bathroom renovations typically involve replacing the vanity, toilet, shower, and bath, which means disconnecting old fixtures, capping or relocating pipework, and installing new fixtures in compliance with waterproofing and plumbing standards. Waterproofing is critical in wet areas and must be completed before tiling; if the waterproofing fails, leaks can occur that damage the subfloor and adjacent rooms. We work with licensed waterproofers and tilers to ensure the sequence is correct and all trades are coordinated.
Laundry renovations include installing or relocating washing machine connections, fitting a new laundry tub, and upgrading waste pipes if the layout changes. If the laundry is being moved to a different location (such as combining it with a bathroom or relocating it to an internal room), new water supply lines and a new waste connection are required, along with consideration for venting requirements to prevent sewer gases from entering the home.
We provide fixed quotes for renovation plumbing once the design is finalised and the scope is clear. Changes to the plan after work begins (such as moving a fixture or adding a new connection) are quoted separately before the extra work proceeds, so you're not surprised by additional costs at the end of the project.
Why Dakabin Residents Choose Big Blue Plumbing
Big Blue Plumbing has completed over 3,000 plumbing and gas jobs across the Sunshine Coast, Noosa, and Moreton Bay regions, including substantial work in Dakabin and surrounding suburbs. That volume of work means we're familiar with how plumbing faults vary by property type, housing era, and site conditions. We've seen how root intrusion patterns differ between older estates and newer subdivisions, how hot water service failures present in homes built in different decades, and how access constraints affect the time and cost of repairs.
Our 40+ years of combined plumbing experience across the team allows us to assess faults quickly and recommend solutions that balance cost, longevity, and convenience. We're not interested in patching problems temporarily if a slightly higher upfront investment will deliver a more durable outcome. At the same time, we recognise that not every homeowner can afford the optimal solution immediately, so we explain the trade-offs and provide options at different price points where practical.
We're licensed, insured, and experienced across the full range of residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing. Public Liability Insurance protects you if accidental property damage occurs during our work. Workers Compensation Insurance covers workplace injuries on the job. Our workmanship is backed by a workmanship warranty, meaning if an issue with the repair shows up after we leave, it's addressed under that warranty at no additional charge (pre-existing wear or faults in other parts of the system are not covered, but the repair itself is).
We arrive on time, communicate clearly around booking times and arrival, and provide ETA updates where possible. Our technicians are police-checked and background-checked, and we follow site protocols for entry, safety, and cleanliness. We keep work areas tidy, use protective coverings where needed, and remove rubbish before leaving. The aim is to fix your plumbing fault professionally, respectfully, and with as little disruption as practical, then provide clear documentation and a fair invoice for the work completed.
How to Book a Plumber in Dakabin
To book Big Blue Plumbing for a job in Dakabin, call us on (07) 5404 9354 or submit a booking request through the website. If it's an emergency (broken pipe, gas leak, sewage backup), let us know when you call and we'll prioritise the dispatch. If it's a non-urgent installation or repair, we'll arrange a convenient time for the assessment visit.
When you book, it helps to provide a brief description of the fault (what you've observed, when it started, and whether it's getting worse), the property type and age if known, and any access considerations (locked gates, strata entry requirements, or preferred arrival times). That allows us to allocate the right technician and bring appropriate tools and equipment to the first visit.
If you're a senior with a valid senior card, mention it when booking to access the senior discount. If you're interested in the 0% interest payment plan for a larger job, we can provide information on the Brighte approval process, which typically takes 5 to 7 minutes and can be completed during the assessment visit or before work begins.
Once the assessment is complete and the fixed-price quote is accepted, we schedule the work for a time that suits your availability. If parts need to be ordered, we provide an estimated timeframe for when the work can be completed. After the job is finished, you'll receive an itemised invoice with a clear breakdown of the work carried out, parts used, and the total cost as agreed in the quote. Payment can be made by card, bank transfer, or through the Brighte payment plan if that option was selected.
